Gates of Olympus slot guide for players in the Philippines
Ask any Filipino slot fan to name a Pragmatic Play game and there is a good chance Gates of Olympus comes up first. Released in February 2021, the Zeus slot built its reputation on one thing: multipliers that can suddenly turn a small hit into a large one. Today the series is bigger than ever, and searches in the Philippines are split between the original demo, Gates of Olympus 1000 and, most of all, the Super Scatter edition.
This guide covers the original game from top to bottom: how the grid pays, what each symbol is worth, how the orbs and free spins work, and how the sequels compare. You can play the free demo in pesos on this page while you read.

How the game works in one minute
Gates of Olympus uses a 6×5 grid with no paylines. Any 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the screen form a win. Those symbols then disappear and new ones fall into the gaps, which can create another win, then another. This tumble keeps going until the grid stops producing matches. At any point Zeus may drop multiplier orbs worth x2 to x500, and if the sequence ends with a win, those orbs boost the payout.
Gates of Olympus specs table
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Game developer | Pragmatic Play |
| Release | February 2021 |
| Reels and rows | 6 × 5 |
| Win system | Scatter Pays, 8+ matching symbols anywhere |
| Tumble | yes, winning symbols are replaced by new ones |
| Multiplier orbs | x2 up to x500 |
| RTP | 96.50% (also 95.51% and 94.51% versions at some operators) |
| Volatility | high |
| Maximum win | 5,000x |
| Free spins | 15 for 4+ scatters, +5 when 3 scatters land in the bonus |
| Buy free spins | 100x the bet |
| Ante Bet | bet +25%, scatter chance doubled |
Two numbers deserve a closer look. An RTP of 96.50% is the theoretical return over a huge number of spins, so a single session can land far above or below it. High volatility tells you how that return is delivered: fewer wins, but some of them large. Because some operators install lower RTP versions, open the game's info page on your chosen platform to confirm which one you are playing.
Symbols and payouts
Nine regular symbols fill the grid. Five gems (blue, green, yellow, purple, red) make up the low pays. Four premium symbols, the chalice, ring, hourglass and crown, make up the high pays. The crown leads the table with 50x for 12 or more. There is no wild, so wins only come from true matches, and the Zeus scatter is the only special symbol.

| Symbol | 8 to 9 | 10 to 11 | 12 to 30 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown | 10x | 25x | 50x |
| Hourglass | 2.5x | 10x | 25x |
| Ring | 2x | 5x | 15x |
| Chalice | 1.5x | 2x | 12x |
| Red gem | 1x | 1.5x | 10x |
| Purple gem | 0.8x | 1.2x | 8x |
| Yellow gem | 0.5x | 1x | 5x |
| Green gem | 0.4x | 0.9x | 4x |
| Blue gem | 0.25x | 0.75x | 2x |
Payouts are multiples of your total bet. On a ₱20 spin, twelve rings would pay 15x, which is ₱300. If different symbols win in the same sequence, their amounts are added, and then the full sequence is multiplied by the orbs on the grid.
Multiplier orbs: added, not multiplied
Orbs can fall during any spin or tumble, each with a random value from x2 to x500. They only matter when the sequence finishes with at least one win; otherwise they disappear without doing anything. When the sequence does win, all orb values are summed and the total payout is multiplied by the sum.
So x15 plus x30 means x45, not x450. That might sound less exciting, but the numbers still get big: a 5x hit with orbs of x100 and x50 pays 750x. This is the engine behind nearly every notable Gates of Olympus win.
Free spins with a total multiplier
Four or more Zeus scatters trigger the bonus and pay instantly: 3x for four, 5x for five and 100x for six. You then receive 15 free spins.
Here the rules change in the player's favour. Orbs that land on winning spins are not cleared at the end of the sequence. Instead they are added to a total multiplier that stays active until the last free spin, and every later win is multiplied by it. Build a total of x80 or x100 in the first few spins and the rest of the round can be very rewarding. Three scatters during the bonus add 5 spins, and this can happen more than once.
Ante Bet or buy free spins?
The Ante Bet switch raises your bet by 25% and doubles the chance of scatters landing. A ₱20 spin becomes ₱25. It is a steady way to see the bonus more often without paying for it outright.
The buy option is the fast lane: 100x your bet for instant access to the free spins. At ₱20 that is ₱2,000 per purchase. Since results vary a lot in a high volatility slot, a few buys can easily return less than they cost, so practise in the demo before paying real pesos.

Understanding the big win videos
Clips of huge Gates of Olympus wins are shared widely in the Philippines, and most of them follow the same script: a free spins round where the total multiplier climbed quickly, followed by several premium symbol wins. In the base game a multiplier covers only one sequence, so the biggest payouts nearly always come from the bonus.
The original caps any single win at 5,000x the bet and closes the round when it gets there. That cap is rarely reached. A normal bonus usually pays somewhere between a few dozen and a couple of hundred bets, and high volatility means you can go a long time between bonuses. Enjoy the videos, but do not treat them as a guide to what a typical session looks like.
Gates of Olympus 1000, Super Scatter and 2500 compared
The original has been followed by several sequels that keep the look but change the numbers and features.
| Gates of Olympus | 1000 | Super Scatter | 2500 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Released | 2021 | 2024 | 2025 | 2026 |
| Orb values | x2–x500 | x2–x1000 | x2–x500 | x2–x2500 |
| Maximum win | 5,000x | 15,000x | 50,000x | up to 25,000x (demo shows 15,000x) |
| RTP | 96.50% | 96.50% | 96.50% | up to 96.52% |
| Highlight | the original | orbs up to x1000 | super scatters with instant prizes up to 50,000x | 4 free spin modes, 3 Ante Bets, Super Spins |
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, the most searched edition among Filipino players, adds super scatters that pay 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x the bet when one to four of them are present at the bonus trigger. Gates of Olympus 1000 lifts the orb ceiling to x1000 and the maximum win to 15,000x. Gates of Olympus 2500, scheduled for 28 September 2026, brings orbs up to x2500, a wheel that selects one of four free spin modes and a mode in which the total multiplier grows even on losing spins. Each has its own page with a free demo.
Getting started with real money
- Play the free demo until the tumbles, orbs and free spins feel familiar.
- Choose a platform from the "Where to play" section and create an account.
- Fund it in pesos and switch on the welcome bonus if you want extra funds and free spins.
- Find Gates of Olympus through the game search or the Pragmatic Play category.
- Set your bet, decide on the Ante Bet and start spinning.
Every welcome offer comes with wagering rules: the playthrough requirement, a maximum bet while the bonus is active, and eligible games. Reading them before you deposit saves a lot of confusion later.
Tips for a better session
- Budget first, spin second. Pick a bet that leaves room for a few hundred spins, because dry spells in a high volatility game can be long.
- Leave losses behind. Raising your bet to win back what you lost does not change the odds of the next spin.
- Play the 96.50% version where possible. Over many spins, a higher RTP makes a real difference.
- Try features for free. Test the Ante Bet and the buy option in the demo before paying for them.
- Take regular breaks. A short pause helps you stay in control and keeps the game fun.
Gates of Olympus is popular because it is easy to learn and full of surprises. Start with the free demo in pesos, get a feel for the pace, and only then decide whether real money play is for you.
