Gates of Olympus uses a 6×5 grid with no paylines. Any 8 or more identical symbols anywhere on the screen form a win. Those symbols then disappear and new ones fall into the gaps, which can create another win, then another. This tumble keeps going until the grid stops producing matches. At any point Zeus may drop multiplier orbs worth x2 to x500, and if the sequence ends with a win, those orbs boost the payout.

Two numbers deserve a closer look. An RTP of 96.50% is the theoretical return over a huge number of spins, so a single session can land far above or below it. High volatility tells you how that return is delivered: fewer wins, but some of them large. Multiplier orbs: added, not multiplied

Orbs can fall during any spin or tumble, each with a random value from x2 to x500. They only matter when the sequence finishes with at least one win; otherwise they disappear without doing anything. When the sequence does win, all orb values are summed and the total payout is multiplied by the sum.

So x15 plus x30 means x45, not x450. That might sound less exciting, but the numbers still get big: a 5x hit with orbs of x100 and x50 pays 750x. This is the engine behind nearly every notable Gates of Olympus win.

Free spins with a total multiplier

Four or more Zeus scatters trigger the bonus and pay instantly: 3x for four, 5x for five and 100x for six. You then receive 15 free spins.

Here the rules change in the player's favour. Orbs that land on winning spins are not cleared at the end of the sequence. Instead they are added to a total multiplier that stays active until the last free spin, and every later win is multiplied by it. Build a total of x80 or x100 in the first few spins and the rest of the round can be very rewarding. Three scatters during the bonus add 5 spins, and this can happen more than once.
